Syrah played in her first ever soccer tournament this weekend (5 games in 2 days). They came in second place out of six + teams (we know there were at least six teams, but not positive on how many). This is an amazing shot of Syrah taking a penalty kick (and scored)! Her team did an amazing job and I saw one of the most intense games ever yesterday!

We were given passes to a preview of Dolphin Tale which is due to hit theaters on September 23rd. This was an amazingly inspirational story with a beautiful message and based on true events. I would recommend this movie to any family looking for a good, clean movie this fall. I will put the disclaimer out that I cried (several times) through-out the movie... bring your tissues! 1. I cut all my hair off again... I think I wish I was more daring and would cut it even further. I do miss the pony tails though! 2. Updates:When I wrote this below my grandma had come out of surgery just a few days prior and was having some pain and "typical" complications from surgery. I had no idea what was to come. Last weekend our family was able to go on a long awaited hike. Long awaited because we haven't gone hiking in quite some time in concern that Sadie would struggle. We went to have a meet and greet today and fell in love with her and could not imagine her going to live in a shelter (if there was even room for her). She has adjusted really well tonight (Molly on the other hand is a tad unhappy with us!).

We had a pretty laid back weekend this weekend, which was warranted after a pretty crazy week. We started it with celebrating our friends birthday by going out for breakfast (which is a huge treat and rarely happens). Then we came home and everyone started some type of project (or several). Sadie completed her donation drive for the dogs there were rescued a few weeks back (for the news story click here). Since she decided to start this many of the dogs have been moved around in order to best care for them. The Everett Animal shelter took 155 of these dogs right away and since that time put all the dogs they currently were housing in foster care. They have not been able to accept
